Studying Abroad? Apply for free money!

In the Spring of 2008, SDSU students approved the Student Activity Fee Referendum which provided for a number of additional programs and services, including the Associated Students Study Abroad Scholarship.
SDSU students who have applied, or have been accepted, to participate in a study abroad program outside the United States are encouraged to apply for the Associated Students Study Abroad Scholarship. Students who will be conducting research outside the United States are eligible to receive the scholarship. Students who will be studying or conducting research in a U.S. territory also are eligible to apply. Application materials will be reviewed by a committee composed primarily of current SDSU students, with an Associated Students staff member serving as the scholarship committee chairperson. There are two scholarship cycles per year. The current cycle will accept applications through Monday, October 11.

Please note that this is a competitive scholarship, rather than a travel grant.

  1. I participated in a SDSU study abroad program 23 years ago. It changed my life!! Since then I’ve worked abroad in Africa, Australia, Europe, and Asia. Currently, I’m a regional Finance VP working in Asia and living in Hong Kong with my family.

Let me know if you need a testimonial. I would be glad to help.
