Got too much junk? The City will pick it up FREE – May 19

  • Do you have a few old computers STUFFED AWAY in the garage?
  • Has your OLD LAWNMOWER putt-putted its last?
  • Are you MOVING OUT THIS SEMESTER but don’t want to take that OLD COUCH or MATTRESS with you?

 Wednesday, May 19, say GOOD BYE to it all!

Your City Councilmember Marti Emerald and The A.S. Good Neighbor Program want you to know that the City of San Diego Environmental Services Department will pick up your stuff from the curb and haul it all away for FREE!

All you need to do is have it out on the curb by 8:00 AM.
COLLECTION AREA IS:
-Dorothy Drive  between 55th Street and Campanile Drive
-Mary Lane Drive between 55th Street and Campanile Drive
-55th Street between Dorothy Drive and Mary Lane Drive
-Campanile Drive between Dorothy Drive and Mary Lane Drive

The City will take recyclable stuff:

  • Appliances
  • Electronics (TVs, Monitors, VCRs, CPUs, etc.)
  • Lawnmowers (fee of oil and gas)
  • Metals
  • Wood and Yard Trimmings (bundled and tied,  not to exceed 50 lbs. or 6′ long)

 They will also take non-recyclable stuff:
*Carpeting
*Junk Furniture
*Mattresses
*Palm Fronds (bundled and tied, not to exceed 50 lbs. or 6′ long)

     

 

 Sorry, but they DON’T take:

  • Light bulbs/tubes
  • Dirt, construction or demolition rubble
  • Hazardous wastes (paint, motor oil, batteries)
  • Propane Tanks/Gas Cylinders/Tires
